tonight we went to a friend's house (you may recall her getting married in november) for an amazing homemade italian dinner and then a little beer pong afterwards in the basement. it was exactly how i wanted to ring in the new year. i was happy to be with a small group of friend who i wanted to be spending time with rather than out in a big crowd. even though we were going to a friend's house, it didn't mean i needed to dress down. it is new years eve! like i told one of my clients a few days earlier, this night is all about glitz and glamour. it is the last chance in 2010 to wear a fantastic outfit and the first time in 2011 to look amazing. so why not start the year looking and feeling great. i know i sure did. i got a little inspiration for this outfit from jil sander ss11 (below). it was one of my favorite shows and i love dressing up a tshirt and there isn't really a better way to do it than with a major skirt. it's minimal maximalism.
