about me

Born and raised in Portland, Maine, Ashley Jordan, 29, has always had a love for the creativity of fashion. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Ashley has quickly emerged as a pre-eminent purveyor of fashion knowledge in the Portland region. Ashley has worked as a Buyer & Merchandiser for Sun City, a Visual Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch, Assistant Buyer, Social Media Lead, and Style Consultant for Akari, and offers her services as a personal stylist in her own time. Most recently, she has become the Women's Department Manager at Urban Outfitters in downtown Portland.

Ashley has styled looks for "Good Day Maine" and created a 50 look runway show for Akari. She has been featured on local Portland fashion blog Fore Front Fashion, written blog posts for Goodwill, and has styled numerous photo shoots with local photographers and musicians. She is currently featured on the cover of Maine Women Magazine. On the horizon, Ashley is working on and planning exciting events and projects.

Inspired by the beauty in all things, Ashley finds her biggest inspiration in looking at interesting pieces and figuring out how to make them "her own." Ashley enjoys working with people and clients and making them feel better merely by what they are wearing, "If I can not only make a person feel like they look good, but can change the way they feel about themselves, then I have done my job."

It is her hope that she is able to inspire and educate "everyday people" on fashion and style creativity; ideally, providing tips on how to incorporate it all into their own lives. Ashley has also set out to include up-to-date fashion trends, budget friendly look ideas, where to look out for style on the cheap. The idea behind it all is to make fashion an all-encompassing possibility for any person, with any style on any budget.

Ashley currently lives with her boyfriend Terry in Portland's West End. In her free time, when she is not nose diving into fashion, Ashley enjoys: exploring her neighborhood, traveling, reading (books, newspapers, and blogs), DIY crafts, bike rides, and trying out new things.
