nyfw: rachel comey spring 2012.

this collection has a very organic feel, with burlap type fabrics and pieces that look like fresh cotton paired with earthy prints and tones. the white paired with chambray-style pieces make for a very crisp look and feel. the abstract and graphic prints give a feel of nature; like water, sky, and leaves. the take on texture, or really, the illusion of texture, especially for spring, is very creative. it looks as though you are wearing a knit sweater, but instead it is a sheer, lightweight fabric, even a bathing suit! then do the same thing with a plaid. bringing the staples of another season into this one. the mix of patterns and texture make for such a rich look and play with your mind.
