NYFW: BCBG Max Azaria

this season, the looks are more covered up than past seasons, but they are still just as wearable straight off the runway. i am loving the lines and how much structure there is in each look, mixed with all of the beautiful draping. the colors are a bit subdued with mostly shades of browns, grays, and blacks, with a few bold colors mixed in. each outfit is worn over tissue turtlenecks, making layering for fall very easy. we are still seeing some of the same things trending from spring: mid to long length skirts, a slight feeling of the 70s, and lots of sheer, light fabrics. and just like we saw on the red carpet this season, red is still a strong color. the wool vests and fur collars look perfect for the crisp fall air.
overall, i love the look of bcbg for fall. it is light, layered, and sexy. the colors are easy to wear and the pieces could easily fit into most wardrobes. take the last look and throw on an oversized cardigan and it is just casual enough for day or work.
