The idea for Sweet William, the name, came primarily from the flower that is its name sake. But Ashley points out that the flower also draws a lot of parallels to her influence and style when it comes to design, noting that Sweet William represents organic, change, growth, and natural in both name and in design. In addition, Ashley says that above all else, the biggest inspiration for the name Sweet William comes from her grandfather, William, whom she admired greatly and was significantly influenced by.
