cant go wrong with a leather vest. especially one that zips, right? this look was a little sassy and a whole lot of fun. i felt sexy in a very casual way. it was perfect for a saturday night. even if i ended up only staying at a friend's housewarming party. why not look great, even why you are not out hitting the town.

there was once a day when it was warm. 333.

i want to first start off by saying we got a new camera. these are the first photos taken with it. we took lots. then we realized that the camera did not come with a cable to connect it to the computer. with much stress, it has taken us over a week to find the time to go buy one. running a blog that is all about pictures is hard to do when the pictures are stuck inside a camera. so i apologize.

the night this was taken, it was neither cold nor raining. what a wonderful thing that must have been. i was so excited to be able to wear a dress without wearing tights. keep in mind, i do know how white my legs are. this dress alone is very school girl, which is sometimes fun to play with, but today i wanted something a little more exciting. the chambray and lace shirt gives it a playful edge. and who doesn't like to wear sky-high heels.

if only it were this easy..

super cute and great marketing.
terry and i both own marc by marc umbrellas.
we are off to defend.

clean?

so i sort of forgot to tell you about the end of my three week cleanse. i did it. i finished it. it got really boring the last week. but i stuck it out. i felt really good and was happier and had more energy. i also lost five pounds. i am sure i will gain them back by the end of this week. (my sun-filled vacation, of course) i did learn a lot about what i am eating and what it does to my body. i will definitely do it again.

if you don't know what l-town is, i am referring to lewiston. yes, i was in lewiston. i traveled the whole 30+ minutes to bates college to see lupe fiasco. i have wanted to see him for a very long time and was floored when i heard he would be in maine. i don't know if you are interested in hip-hop (i, for one, do not discriminate when it comes to music genres as long as it makes me feel something), but he is one to check out. he says things like "stand up for what you believe in. don't sit down for things you don't" and "if you are feeling depressed, talk to someone and if you know someone who is depressed, be the person they can talk to. every life is worth living". he takes a stance and isn't rapping about big booty hoes and such.

anywho.. post show, we stopped for gas at a station that only sold one type of gas! i guess they are not expecting a porsche to be pulling in. as for my outfit, i didn't feel as great as i have in the past few days. i did like the mix of floral with the more manly features of the blazer vest. and aren't my shoes fun?!

monday i spent the day helping my mom clean out her closet, so she can donate to swapmaine, of course! the last thing we went through were her suits and fancy things, when i found these pants. not only did i find pants, but the whole suit, complete with the pink jacket and skirt! i had to try them on. they were perfect. of course, not all together because even though i may wear some crazy things, i don't think i could pull of a full pink suit! these pants, straight from the late 70s, were what i have been dying to have. i know they are wool, but seeing as this may has been far from warm, wearing them wouldn't be crazy. i kept everything else pretty simple because i wanted the pants to shine! i love them. this just proves you can find cool things in so many different places. stay tuned for the other things i found in my mother's closet.
