a girl at work said to me that she was going to wear a skirt like this but felt her stomach stuck out too much today. i just told her to cover it with a belt! there are so many ways to hide the things you don't like. put a belt around your waist to make it more defined and use the same belt to cover up that bump. wear a long sweater to cover your butt and hips and show only the same parts. another tip, if your belt is too long, tuck the end back under into the loop.

a little mj. a little audrey. a lot of fun. sequins and shoulder pads alone can do a lot for an outfit, but together they change everything. the sequins add a little excitement, so i could wear flats without dress it down too much. i felt pretty and cute all day. this outfit made me have a lot of fun.

not that this one is very far fetched since i would wear everything that came down the runway for spring 2010 marc by marc jacobs, but that is wear i got my inspiration for today's outfit. i love putting primary colors together and then throwing in some pink and purple for fun. there are hints of menswear everywhere in this outfit, but made more feminine with bows and pretty colors.

you can tell fall is coming. there is the slightest chill in the air and it makes it easy to wear pants every so often. since it is still summer, white pants and a floral top do the trick. i kept the colors light and i can now see why more than one person thought i wasn't wearing shoes today!

pretty and ugly. two of my favorite things together. wearing a beautiful dress while riding an old bike. all dressed up taking out the trash (however i watched terry put out the trash hehe). i got this 100% silk dress for $10! i paired it with my favorite necklaces and a butterfly pin i found at ferdinand.

they are moving from summer into fall, so if you don't have some already, these are a must. i would love the marc by marc jacobs pair, but i will happily settle for these ones by sparkle & fade from urban outfitters. if you tone them down by a solid (or mostly solid) top, no one will really notice how crazy the pattern on the pants is!
