a few weeks ago, i was invited to attend a party at swiss time to celebrate their 35th anniversary and the launch of the newest mondaine watch collection. it was a nice gathering with wine and a truffle tasting from dean's sweets. and let me tell you, those truffles were amazing, especially the champagne and the apricot goat cheese. but enough about chocolate.. the watches were cool too.
mondaine is the official clock of the swiss railways and keeps with their design integrity which is simplicity and ingenuity. all of the watches in the collection are clean and androgynous. as a lover of a big face, and once owner of a very cool men's watch (i recently lost it), these watches are right up my alley.
though i'm not in a position to make a watch purchase right now, this would make the list of contenders. they make a bold statement without being over the top and can be worn with anything. not to mention, the prices are good.
